Demanding Data Center Accountability

Born out of a desire to preserve Kentucky’s natural beauty, embrace our unique culture, and invest in our greatest asset: our people. We need deep investments in our communities. Investments that provide good jobs from companies that want to be part of our communities, not just profit off of them. Right now, data centers do not do that. And they’re going completely unchecked from the highest levels.

Demanding Data Center Accountability seeks to bring leaders, candidates, experts, and citizens together under a nonpartisan coalition to level the playing field and stand up to the influx of data centers.

We demand accountability and regulation, and, until then, a full, indefinite moratorium on data centers in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Signatories commit to:

  1. Call for an indefinite moratorium on new data centers in the Commonwealth of Kentucky

  2. Reject campaign contributions from data center developers, operators, and lobbyists

  3. Commit to work towards a common standard for data center regulation at the highest levels

Our Mission
